Hi all
I haven't been on the forum for a while and hope you don't mind me moaning.
In the last two weeks my dad and mum have passed away. It's a long story but I'm totally confused and mixed up emotionally. All this has had an effect on how my RA has been. I was told that the sulfasalazine has failed and that I have to start a new drug. I've been in agony but kept soldiering on at work. I didn't want to take more time off as I had 6 weeks in January. things just keep coming at me.
Anyway, I've just read what I've written and I'm not the sort of person to moan normally so do forgive me and thanks for listening.
PS Sorry for not keeping in touch to those who have my email address. Just bear with me and I'll keep you updated Chris x

Oh Chris! I'm so dreadfully sorry for you.
I can't begin to imagine what you're going through but all I can say is take time off. I can't think there's a boss in the world who wouldn't show some compassion under your circumstances. I think at least a few days would help you to give your body much needed rest and your soul some space to grieve.
You are in my thoughts

Hello, I can not begin to imagine how you must be feeling. Grieve is exhausting. DO give yourself to really get over the greif and of course of RA. A week from work to rest will do your body the world of good. Your Boss I am sure will be compassionate, but at the end of the day you do need your strength and health to have a good life - So speak with the Boss. Love New girl Rose

Hi Chris
How dreadful for you and how very, very sad. Please be assured of our prayers and our love.
You NEVER have to apologise on the forum - you most certainly haven't moaned - you are just sharing your feelings with friends, which is as it should be.
Much love Jeanxxxxxx

Chris, what an awful thing to happen, I am slo sorry for your loss. You must take some time off work, its impossible for you to just carry on as normal, even your bosses wouldnt expect anything else. As for moaning, this is not something that anyone would say you were moaning about, its a big stressful time for you. Take care of yourself for a while. Will be thinking of you x BARBARA

Chris, what and awful time. I agree with Barbara that you should think again about taking time off. The loss of a parent is hard, let alone the loss of two so close together. Please give yourself time and space to take this all in - speak to your boss. Most companies have berevement leave - let alone the flare that the RA is having. Thinking of you!

Dear Chris,
I am so sorry that you are having to cope with the deaths of both your parents at the same time. This is so sad. It is no wonder that your RA has flared so badly and I do think that you should see your GP and get some recovery time of work. Please consider this.
Thinking of you at this time.

Hello Chris Sorry to hear about your very sad losses, my deepest sympathies. Do think about a little time off work; you need some respite and time for the healing processes to work. Please don't push yourself too hard, stress will exacerbate the RA. hope things improve for you soon, Lyn x

Dear Chris,
So sorry for your great loss, both so close together, Really hope you have some support systems close as it is these times that flares seem to exacerbate the most, Take good care of yourself and do not feel guilty about anything especially not sharing thoughts and feelings here - this is just the right place for that,
Thinking of you, with gentle hugs and deepest sympathy, With love from Liz xxxxx
